scrappy suitcases

When I went up North for a crafting weekend with my girlfriends, I found these white cardboard suitcases at a craft store.  They were begging to be modpodged.

I had a really cute pad of paper from October afternoon that I was dying to use...

I cut the pieces to fit and just kept mod podging...

Very important things will be kept inside!

  1. Hi Jenni,
love how this suitcase turned out. That paper is too cute. I can see why you were dying to use it. I am going to keep my eyes out for a case like this. It would be such a fun project.

  3. I have been planning on doing this with a card board case that I picked up. I will be putting crafty stuff (beads, pipe cleaners, etc) in it and it will be a birthday present for my daughter. I was planning on covering mine with fabric, but I think I like yours with the October Afternoon paper better!

  5. I've had a case for years and just found it again. I plan on Mod Podge Christmas cards all over it and leave it open with greenery, decorations, etc.

I hope it's okay, I just finished a paper crafts round-up showing ways to use decorative paper for home decor and just couldn't help but feature your cute paper covered suitcases.
